Too many easter eggs and booze this weekend? Feeling a bit deflated and fat?

Having a Protein Day on Monday (or in this case Wednesday!) is a great way to get your blood sugar level back to normality, and in the best state to use utilise body fat as your major fuel source.

It also saves the potentially disastrous “What The Hell” effect, where you figure you’ve broken the eating plan, so you may as well eat whatever you want.

So, how do you put a Protein Day together? Try this menu for size:

  • Breakfast – 3 egg omelette with low fat cheese and ham

  • Morning Tea – 30g of dry roasted almonds

  • Lunch – Chicken breast salad with balsamic vinegar

  • Afternoon Tea – Protein shake or celery sticks with peanut butter

  • Dinner – Grilled salmon with julienned carrot and mushrooms
