
23 Oct Exercise = Fun?
Remember when you were young and exercise wasn’t a chore? It was something you did cause it was fun and made you feel good and happy. Thoughts of ‘I wonder how many calories this is burning?’ and ‘I hope this tones my bum’ or ‘Will this ensure I don’t get bingo wings?’ never crossed your mind.
I remember bike riding, roller blading, jumping on the trampoline, running down the street playing hide and seek, and swinging for hours. How good would it be if we could experience this again. Unfortunetely as adults we seemed to have lost a little bit of that ‘fun’ element and can take things very seriously. Including exercise!
This is why I want to offer at least 1 group which has this element of fun whilst still giving you an awesome workout to boot. I think the idea of exercising whilst having fun is a brilliant idea. We had our first ‘games’ session last week which consisted of 2 teams playing it out to be named the winner of beach frisbee and beach netball. 2 different group training companies came together as one, headed by Jon and Sarah and we had an absolute ball! (excuse the pun). I am happy to say I lead the group to victory (see pic). It was a hard slog but we got there in the end.
So I urge you to come along and give Saturday at 7am a go. Yes its early and yes its on the weekend but so what? It just means you can’t go out the night before and drink too much or stay up too late and there ain’t nothing wrong with that!
